Tesia Tejaswini Singh-Ragen is a multimedia artist focused on interspecies flourishing and intergenerational healing. Born and returned to Brooklyn, NY, Tesia Tejaswini explores the binding of memory and identity with specific environments. Considering the age-old tensions and desires surrounding place and belonging, her interest lies in modes of self-knowledge rooted in relationality.
Always expanding her philosophy as a diasporic woman, Tesia Tejaswini researches multigenerational practices of devotional music and handwork, Hindu and Christian vernacular motifs, and all things environmental. She works primarily in paint, drawing, textiles, collage, singing, and playing the viola and drums. In addition to her personal practice, she is a decorative painter at Mark Giglio Studios.
